We’ve been waiting for this happening and here it comes, Donald Trump will announce the new fuel efficiency rules when he will meet with automaker chiefs this week. He will be visiting autonomous vehicle testing facility based in Detroit this Wednesday and also will meet with some major automakers CEOs who asked for revising the rules of Obama’s administration. The administration has decided to review the feasibility of the 2022 through 2025 vehicle emissions rules, after the Obama administration moved in its final days to keep them. The trip is focused on job creation and automobile manufacturing, highlighting the need to eliminate burdensome regulations that needlessly hinder meaningful job growth. The CEOs of General Motors, Ford Motor Co. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will meet with the president near Detroit in Ypsilanti Township, Mich., along with senior officials from Japanese and German automakers, including Toyota Motor Corp. and Daimler AG.
